Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Carefully lay the salmon fillet skin-side down on the lined baking sheet.
- In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, water, minced garlic, and freshly cracked pepper, and whisk over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch with cold water in a small bowl until smooth, then stir this mixture into your simmering sauce and cook for an additional 30 seconds until thickened.
- Evenly spread the teriyaki sauce over the salmon fillet.
- Bake for 12-20 minutes, checking at 12 minutes for doneness.
- Serve with fresh lemon wedges on the side.
