For the Coating
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour or gluten-free flour

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper adjust for spice tolerance
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
For Frying
  • Oil enough for frying
For the Bang Bang Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons Sriracha to taste
For Assembling Tacos
  • 8 pieces Tortillas corn for gluten-free
  • 2 cups Shredded Cabbage
  • 1 medium Avocado sliced

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Soak the shrimp in buttermilk for 30 minutes to tenderize.
  2. Prepare the coating by mixing flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture, then dip in buttermilk, and coat in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry the shrimp in hot oil for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Make the bang bang sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha.
  6. Assemble tacos with tortillas, cabbage, crispy shrimp, bang bang sauce, and avocado.
  7. Serve with lime wedges on the side for added zest.
