- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
- Prepare your rice according to package instructions, usually around 15-20 minutes. Steam the broccoli until just tender, about 2-3 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, shredded chicken, and steamed broccoli.
- Add cream of chicken soup, milk, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well-coated.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top, and add breadcrumbs if using. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
