Cooking Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the diced onion for 3-5 minutes until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook for about 7 minutes until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Reduce heat to low, add heavy cream, and gradually stir in reserved pasta water until desired consistency. Mix in grated Parmesan until melted.
- Toss in the drained penne pasta, ensuring it’s well coated with the sauce. Heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnished with more Parmesan or chopped parsley.
