Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together gram flour, baking powder, ground turmeric, ground cumin, garam masala, chili powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually stir in water to the dry ingredient mixture, creating a smooth batter.
  3. Fold in the thinly sliced onions and chopped cilantro into the batter until well coated.
  4. In a deep frying pan, heat corn oil over medium heat until it reaches around 350°F.
  5. Using a tablespoon, drop dollops of batter mixture into the hot oil, leaving space between them.
  6. Fry the bhajis for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove the crispy onion bhajis from the oil and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
