Step-by-Step Instructions for Sour Cream and Onion Chicken
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 385°F (195°C) or your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Trim your chicken breast into 12 tender-sized pieces for even cooking.
  3. In one bowl, pour liquid egg whites. In another bowl, combine onion soup mix with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Dip each chicken tender into the egg whites, then into the panko mixture for coating.
  5. Arrange the coated chicken tenders in the air fryer and cook for 15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. If using an oven, bake for 20 minutes, flipping at the halfway mark.
  7. Mix sour cream with chopped scallions to prepare the dipping sauce.
  8. Serve the chicken tenders with the dipping sauce for an appetizing meal.
