Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Peel, core, and chop the medium apples into ½-inch pieces and set aside.
  2. Melt one tablespoon of butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped apples and cinnamon, cooking for 4-5 minutes until fragrant and tender.
  3. Pour in 2 cups of milk and add 1 cup of rolled oats along with a pinch of salt. Stir and bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and let the oatmeal simmer for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  5. Stir in your desired amount of maple syrup or brown sugar, serve hot, and enjoy!
