Step-by-Step Instructions for Peach Crumb Bars
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients and a greased 9x9-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Cut in 1 cup of unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Reserve 1 cup of the crumb mixture for the topping. Press the remaining crumbs into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- In another bowl, toss together 4 cups of sliced peaches, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Spread the peach mixture evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture over the peach layer.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

Notes
For best results, refrigerate bars for an hour before slicing. Use ripe but firm peaches to prevent a soggy filling.
