Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Soak and rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Let it soak in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain the soaked rice and place it in a cheesecloth-lined steamer basket over simmering water. Cover and steam for 25-30 minutes until tender.
  3. Combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. Warm over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves completely.
  4. Set aside ¼ cup of the coconut sauce for later use.
  5. Combine the warm coconut sauce with the steamed sticky rice in a mixing bowl, and let it sit covered for 15 minutes.
  6. Spoon portions of the sticky rice mixture into dessert cups. Layer sliced mango generously on top of the rice.
  7. Drizzle with the reserved coconut sauce before serving. Optionally garnish with sesame seeds or mint leaves.
