Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Cardamom Filling by grinding cardamom seeds and creaming with butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla sugar.
  2. Make the Dough by warming milk and dissolving yeast, then mixing in sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, and flour.
  3. Knead in the Butter by adding room-temperature butter and knead until integrated.
  4. Roll and Shape the dough into a rectangle, spread filling, fold, and twist into knots.
  5. First Rise the buns on baking sheets covered with plastic wrap for 1 to 3 hours.
  6. Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Decorate by brushing with melted butter and dipping in sugar and cardamom mixture.
