Step-by-Step Instructions for Ground Beef Orzo
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat, adding a drizzle of olive oil. Add diced onions and minced garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onions are soft.
- Increase heat slightly and add the lean ground beef. Break it apart and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Stir in the tomato paste, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2 minutes until fragrant and well combined.
- Add beef or vegetable broth and rinsed orzo. Stir well, bring to a boil, then reduce to low. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Serve hot with crusty bread or fresh salad.
