Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) or your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Slice the russet potatoes in half lengthwise and scoop out some flesh to create a space for the filling, leaving a small border for structure.
- Brush or drizzle the insides and edges of the potato skins with olive oil, then sprinkle salt and pepper over them.
- Place the prepared potato skins in your preheated air fryer or oven in a single layer and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the potato skins and fill each skin generously with chopped black treacle ham. Sprinkle cheese on top.
- Return filled potato skins to the air fryer or oven for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let them cool slightly and top each with a spoonful of chilli piccalilli before serving.
