Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) or your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Slice the russet potatoes in half lengthwise and scoop out some flesh to create a space for the filling, leaving a small border for structure.
  3. Brush or drizzle the insides and edges of the potato skins with olive oil, then sprinkle salt and pepper over them.
  4. Place the prepared potato skins in your preheated air fryer or oven in a single layer and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the potato skins and fill each skin generously with chopped black treacle ham. Sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. Return filled potato skins to the air fryer or oven for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let them cool slightly and top each with a spoonful of chilli piccalilli before serving.
