Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Gradually stir in whole milk until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, gently knead a few times, and roll it out to about 1-inch thickness.
  5. Cut into biscuits and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
Gravy
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook breakfast sausage until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle flour over the sausage and stir to combine, cooking for about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Serve warm biscuits with creamy sausage gravy on top.
