  • 4 pieces Italian sub rolls or ciabatta/hoagie rolls
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted for brushing
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Meats & Cheeses
  • 4 oz deli-sliced salami
  • 4 oz deli-sliced ham
  • 4 oz deli-sliced pepperoni
  • 4 oz deli-sliced mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz deli-sliced provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
For the Toppings
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 1/3 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/3 cup banana peppers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully slice the Italian sub rolls in half lengthwise.
  3. In a small bowl, melt the unsalted butter and mix in all the seasonings.
  4. Generously brush the seasoned butter mixture over the cut sides of each roll.
  5. Layer the deli-sliced salami, ham, and pepperoni on one half of each roll.
  6. Add the mozzarella and provolone cheeses on top of the meats.
  7. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top and add roasted red peppers, black olives, and banana peppers.
  8. Top with fresh basil leaves.
  9. Place the sandwiches in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  10. Once baked, let them cool for a minute before slicing into portions.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!
