Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  3. Thinly slice 2 medium zucchinis and 2 medium yellow squashes. In a greased baking dish, arrange the slices in alternating layers of zucchini and yellow squash.
  4. In a mixing bowl, blend 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 cup of grated Gruyère cheese, and ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Add a tablespoon of fresh thyme, along with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until combined, then pour this creamy mixture over the layered vegetables.
  5. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40 minutes until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling.
