- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat for about 5–7 minutes. Add minced garlic and onion powder, cook until no longer pink, then drain excess fat.
- Transfer the beef mixture into a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish. Evenly distribute the crispy bacon atop the beef layer.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Fold in three-quarters of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Pour the egg mixture over the meat and bacon layers, pressing down gently to meld the ingredients.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
