Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat for about 5–7 minutes. Add minced garlic and onion powder, cook until no longer pink, then drain excess fat.
  3. Transfer the beef mixture into a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish. Evenly distribute the crispy bacon atop the beef layer.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Fold in three-quarters of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the meat and bacon layers, pressing down gently to meld the ingredients.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
