Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

- Alternately mix in dry ingredients and buttermilk until just combined.
- Gently fold in passionfruit pulp.
- Divide batter among prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- To make frosting, beat butter, then gradually add powdered sugar, heavy cream, and salt until smooth.
- Assemble the cake by layering frosting between cake layers and covering the entire cake.
