Preparation

  8. Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  9. To make frosting, beat butter, then gradually add powdered sugar, heavy cream, and salt until smooth.
  10. Assemble the cake by layering frosting between cake layers and covering the entire cake.
