Step-by-Step Instructions for Iced Turmeric Green Tea
  1. Begin by pouring 2 cups of fresh water into a saucepan and adding a stick of cinnamon bark. Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the water to a rolling boil, which should take about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Once the water is boiling, stir in your green tea and remove the saucepan from heat. Allow the tea to steep for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Next, add 1 teaspoon of turmeric to the steeped tea. Return the saucepan to low heat and let the mixture simmer gently for an additional minute.
  4. After simmering, strain the tea mixture into a heat-safe pitcher using a fine mesh strainer. While the tea is still warm, mix in 1-2 tablespoons of organic raw honey and a pinch of black pepper.
  5. Allow the strained tea to cool to room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to chill completely.
  6. To finish, garnish each glass with a few fresh mint leaves. Serve immediately and enjoy!
