Prepare the Saffron
- Grind a pinch of saffron threads with a teaspoon of sugar using a mortar and pestle to release flavor.
Boil the Water
- Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add the White Tea
- Remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons of white tea, stirring gently. Cover and let steep for 5 minutes.
Choose Your Flavor Variation
- Select one of the three variations: Mixed Spices, Ginger Cinnamon, or Lemon Mint.
Simmer and Steep
- Turn off the heat and let the mixture steep for another 5 minutes.
Incorporate the Saffron
- Add the saffron powder you prepared and stir gently, covering to steep for another 3-4 minutes.
Sweeten to Taste
- Pour in honey to taste, mixing well until fully dissolved.
Strain and Serve
- Strain the saffron tea into glasses using a fine mesh sieve. Garnish if desired.
