  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Smoked paprika adds depth
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • 4 cups Beef Broth Can use vegetable broth
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes Canned or fresh
  • 1 medium Green Bell Pepper Can substitute with red or yellow
  • 2 medium Carrots Sliced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley For garnish

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the beef chunks to the pot, season with salt and black pepper, and brown for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the beef and set it aside on a plate.
  4. In the same pot, add onions and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  5. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 additional minute.
  6. Stir in tomato paste, ground cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and paprika. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Return the browned beef to the pot, stirring well.
  8. Add the beef broth and diced tomatoes, bring to a gentle boil.
  9. Reduce heat to low and cover, letting it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  10. Allow the goulash to simmer covered for 45 minutes.
  11. Add chopped bell pepper and sliced carrots, continue to simmer for another 15 minutes.
  12. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt or pepper as necessary.
  13. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
