Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the lasagna noodles according to package until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat, stir in the marinara sauce, and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and a third of the mozzarella. Repeat layers and finish with remaining meat sauce and mozzarella.
  6. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Let the lasagna sit for 10 minutes before slicing to allow the layers to set.
