Preparation
  1. Begin by slicing the flank steak into thin strips, about a quarter-inch thick, ensuring even cooking.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and cornstarch. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Place the sliced flank steak into the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over the beef. Stir gently.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or on high for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  5. Check that the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened. Serve over warm rice or noodles.
