  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese can use vegan cheese for dairy-free option
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese optional but recommended
For Garnish
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves tear just before serving

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry until it's 1/8 inch thick, then fit it into a tart pan.
  3. Whisk the egg in a small bowl and apply the egg wash onto the surface of the pastry.
  4. Combine sliced tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl, and toss to coat.
  5. Spread the tomato mixture evenly over the prepared puff pastry.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses over the tomatoes.
  7. Bake the tart for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Let the tart cool for 5-10 minutes before garnishing with fresh basil leaves.
  9. Slice the tart into wedges and serve warm.
